COVID Question – Star Journal
As Covid-19 restrictions hopefully start to ease, could you please briefly list your ideas on how to reactivate central Dandenong’s business district?
Hopefully, If I am elected as the new 2020 Dandenong Ward Councillor the safety and welfare of everyone in the ward and our city will always be my top priority. Any decision that will require my input for the immediate and near future reactivation of Dandenong’s CBD to a New COVID Normal will be in alignment with the advice from the Chief Health Officer Of Victoria.
I will help and assist to re-open Dandenong’s CBD via local law and education in conjunction with schools and service caregiving facilities. Especially the aged care facilities in our city by initiating Council support for help with transmission prevention and well locally supported aged care staffing I will seek assistance for grants, re-designed work stations, to enable the safe opening up of the CBD according to state-imposed restrictions with essential multilingual signage and frequent Sanitation and COVID Safe Practice designated stations in public areas.
The development of a new municipal citywide COVID / Pandemic Safe Citywide Strategic Statement and Plan will be an essential beginning job for the new Council. Ensuring citywide respect for a new collective social responsibility and a new public social safety conscience given all the new social distancing requirements whilst engaging publicly via local law in the re-opening of Dandenong’s CBD Plan will be a necessary and essential starting point.
I commit my full support for a harmonious, safe re-opening and return to a new normal of a COVID -19 safe public coexistence Plan.
